2 Cor 12:9 “I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses & infirmities, that the strength & power of Christ may rest upon me.”- Too many times we try & use our weakness as an excuse rather than God’s platform to use us. Like Paul, we all wrestle w/ weaknesses, but it’s like God saying, “I really don’t have to get rid of the problem, I will just fill it up w/ My strength & it will be the same as if it were gone - as long as you lean on Me!”

Ps 115:1 “Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness!”-It’s His love & faithfulness! He gets the glory. What am I doing _______ for? Am I doing it so people see me as special? As having it all together? Put all you decisions through the filter of who am I doing this for? How will God get the glory? Those decisions that we make become the stories we tell tomorrow. To him be the Glory!

Mark 8:25 “Then He put His hands on his eyes again & made him look up.”- Again?? Was the miracle too hard? Maybe it was Jesus’ way of showing us that some miracles come gradually rather than instantaneous. If you’ve been asking or praying for something for a while, don’t give up, what you are walking through is just as important as the miracle! Keep looking up!
May 1st! This is birthday month for my little fella! He informed me this morning that it is only 12 days till his birthday. Let the Beyblade party planning begin!
Daily Text
1 Cor 7:7 “…But each one has his own gift from God.”- I love gifts! Especially the small, just because gifts. God has gifted each of us in our own way, with our own purpose. When we become jealous of each other, it’s as if we are telling God that His gift to us wasn’t enough. Essentially that He isn’t enough. Ouch, right? Let’s not forget that even the little things matter. Be who YOU are and let others around you be who they are called to be! It’s then that we will have the biggest impact!
Way too long!
It’s been MONTHS since I have even looked at my Tumblr account. I could list a million reasons why but I won’t. I will just say that I am back and I’m making it a priority to take a minute to put of down my thoughts, post my pictures and videos and share our life with you! So let’s get back on track!
Come
Matthew 11:28 - “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
It’s been said that God will only give us what we can handle. I don’t believe that is true, if so, we would have no reason to depend on Him, lean on Him and will usually take the credit of everything working out. Jesus said “Come to me”… when you are hurting, when you are overwhelmed, when you are tired, when you are up against giants, when you feel like you are going to crack… “Come to Me”….
I am reminding myself this morning that Jesus is everything I need and in HIM, I can handle anything! Thank you Jesus!!
We’re Here!!!!!
First of all, I apologize for taking a break from blogging, as you can imagine- life has been VERY crazy the last couple of weeks.
Thanks to so many people: Tracy, Lisa, Deborah, Bobby, Amy, Rick, Meredith, Chelsea, Dwight, Marcia, Sandy, David and others who helped get our house in Florida all packed up and cleaned. I seriously couldn’t have done it without the help of them. LIFESAVERS!!
Well, we have been in Charlotte now for one week as of tomorrow. To try and fit everything that has been happening this week into one blog post would mean you would have to read ALL night!
What I can tell you is that God is WAY TOO good to us, we are exactly where He wants us and we are honored that He would use us!
More coming your way over the next few days!
Monday night we had the privilege of eating dinner with the Shaffers, David, Kim, Eli & Jacob! What a sweet family they are!
Our kids have VBS in the evenings so it was just Matt and I that went. As we sat there enjoying our chicken manicotti, David and Kim were busy feeding babies, refilling juice, wiping faces and hands, entertaining the boys and just being very hands on- active parents. It took us back to the years when we were there, thinking we would never have a quiet meal or get to eat our food while it was still hot… it’s funny how different stages of your life can seem like they are a place that you will forever remain, yet looking back- those seasons are so short!
We throughly enjoyed being there and all the memories they came back of our children as babies. We also enjoyed every minute with David & Kim… they are wonderful friends!
The night was a great reminder that it’s best to enjoy every moment and every stage of life… it’s all so short!
